Basics of Acrylic Paint Classes at Do Art Here

Want to learn how to use acrylic paints?  Then sign up for our four week course and get an introduction to a basic knowledge in acrylic painting.  The cost of the class is $125 per person which includes two 16″x20″ canvases and paints for each of the classes. Brushes are supplied for the classes.

Thursdays 5-8 pm October 27th and Nov. 3rd, 10th, and 17th.

The Do Art Here watercolors course covers how to mix the paints with water to get values and how to mix colors and use the pan set.  Topics for beginners will be instruction in doing a color sample swatches of your colors, sketching concepts, fluid masking, washes, and line work.  You will learn the causes of paper ragging and how to avoid it and also how to fix other small mistakes like using to little water or to much color.

By the end of the class you will have a better understanding of how watercolor paints work and how to start using them to create art at home.  The class covers a series of skill building exercises that help you work on developing the techniques to do more complicated watercolor artwork.
